Amazing stories about Derbyshire

Coming soon are some amazing historic stories researched through lots of different out of print books about the Lost Histories of Derbyshire.

Lost Histories aims to make a short film every other month about an unusual piece of history, which has been lost in time.

We aim to bring to the forefront of Vignettes of village Life, historic castles, window taxes, a memoir of Robert Blincoe, witches, seers, goblins, and ghosts. Lost aircraft on the moors and the plague villages all but time have forgotten.

Very little is written about the subjects named above, and still much of it has never been recorded via a documentary. We aim to change that and we hope local history groups will support us with additional information.

You may ask, why choose Derbyshire to look for research material in and make documentaries on. All the crew are local to Derbyshire and making a documentary costs money. With these documentaries, it’s really unfortunate that a financial return is never forthcoming on them. The director and producer of the films Roland Keates believe these stories should be told to a wider audience and hopes one day, to make these documentaries full time if a grant is found.

If you are an actor who can learn a vast amount of lines, why not get in touch. I can’t guarantee a wage or expenses, but I can guarantee, you will be part of something which you will enjoy and learn from.
